I AM DOING SOME  WORK FOR NORTH BRUNSWICK.

I JUST WANT TO  POST HOURS AS I WORK NOT REALLY AN ESTIMATED JOB, JUST HELPING THEM WITH
A PROJECT ON SCHEDULING.

NEED TO POST DATE, HOURS WORKED. BRIEF DESCRIPTION.  THEN AT THE END OF A MONTH OR TWO GENERATE AN INVOICE TO THEM FOR THE HOURS I HAVE PUT IN SINCE LAST INVOICE.

I REALIZE THIS IS NOT THE TRUE INTENT, AND AM USING A SIMPLE SPREADSHEET NOW.

TOM.

Also noticed that when relogging in i go to the last screen i was on.  would it not be better to go to a home screen?

Hi Tom,

You certainly can do this with Primershee.  If you are starting from scratch, then...

1. Add the new client.
2. Select the client and add a new project (switch the dropdown from "To Be Quoted" to the "Maintenance" option.
3. When you have a new hourly task from the client, you can click right on the "Projects" link at the navigation at the top and add a new task within the Project Dashboard using the "Out of Scope" option, since this is hourly work which is not in the scope of any estimate.
4. Select the task you created and click on "Start Timer" in the Timer box on the right column.
5. When you are done logging time, click "Write to Timesheet."
6. When you are done the task, then select the task, and click "Done".  It wil now show a completion status of "ReadyToInvoice".
7. When you get enough billable hours, go ahead and click "Create Invoice From Timesheet" in the Details pane.
8. From the invoice, you can e-mail it directly to your client.

If you are not starting from scratch, and if you already added a project "To Be Quoted," then that project status is automatically set as "Customer Requests Quote."  You can change the status by...

1. Selecting the project from the "Projects" link at the navigation at the top.
2. On the Project Dashboard, click on the "Settings" tab.
3. Change the project status to "Maintenance."
4. Continue with point #3 above.

I'm curious what you are seeing when you login.  It should not be taking you to a new page.  Although, the homepage does become the main dashboard for your account.  When you relog in, what is the url that you see?

Let me know if I can help further!
